RFP Round 4 e-Curriculum Grants - Minnesota Online-the System's Gateway to Online Learning

A guideline for proposals that includes the RFP Criteria & Required Contents is presented in a table format as an aid to those writing to the RFP. Your proposal should not exceed 7 pages. 12 pt font is preferred. Less than 11 pt will not be accepted.

Required Content

Compliance with RFP Guidelines

Cover letter provided (does not count toward 7 page limit) on institutional letter head with all relevant contact information including but not limited to:

  • Name of contact person/persons
  • Phone and fax information
  • Brief (100-150) abstract of the proposed project
  • Project cost and amount of your request

Brief statement provided that describes how Intellectual property rights of courses/deliverables are determined and addressed

 

Online Learning and Technologies

Detailed and described the online project’s intent/focus in terms of RFP language

  • 100% online learning
  • Predominantly online
  • Use of new or emerging technologies

Impact

Discussed impact of project in terms of

  • Addition to Minnesota Online Inventory
  • Student access
  • Learning outcomes (programs and/or courses)
  • Institution and/or system outcomes

Evaluation & Assessment Plan

Provided an overall description of project goals and objectives in relation to the proposed project and RFP quality standards

  • How they will be achieved?
  • What are the milestones for outcomes and deliverables at key points in your project?
  • At the end of the proposed project?

Feasibility

Project budget, time line and sustainability is provided and

  • All fiscal agents are identified by name, institution, title, phone, fax, email
  • Budget and resources are adequate for the project
  • Budget is clear and timeline achievable
  • Budget includes in-kind and/or matching funds
  • Budget includes a narrative that included rationale for project costs, especially those connected to requests for equipment,software/hardware,consultants, and/or travel

Alignment with System Priorities

Project language is connected to and demonstrates an understanding of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Work Plan and RFP priorities for online learning and

  • Provided evidence of departments, programs, institutions,  working together and with other systems and business or industry by  describing any efforts involving

           -Leveraging

           -Matching

           -Collaboration

Project Rationale

Proposal provided rationale for why project should be funded and supported rationale with

  • Recent research
  • Data
  • Other sources

If the proposal duplicated courses or programming a plan for

Proposal provided information on how dissemination of project results will be addressed through

Proposal concluded with an original signature page (does not count toward 7 page limit) with signatures from each institution represented in the project

Office of the Chancellor Rights and Requirements
